Nataliya Hines is a painter, printmaker, and mixed-media artist based in the New York Metro area. She completing interdisciplinary studies in traditional print processes at the School of Art and Design at Purchase College and art history at the Institut d’Études Supérieure des Arts in Paris.

While at Purchase College, she produced a suite of intaglio and silkscreen prints entitled Sighthound. Since 2019, Hines has been exploring the subject of symbolic femininity in a series of representational acrylic paintings, drawing from the motivic traditions of academic portrait painting and religious iconography, while exploring some of the narrative threads that run through Slavic and Scandinavian folklore. She is concurrently working on Bleed Suite, a series of mixed-media works on paper for which she takes a more process-based approach.

Nataliya lives in western Connecticut where she continues to work primarily as a painter and collage artist in her home studio. Outside of her primary practice, Hines works as a freelance artist in traditional and digital media, as a portrait painter as well as album cover and logo design.
