Jebah Baum: I enjoy exploring incongruences between two and three dimensionality. I am a process based artist and my pieces are often constructed by layering and modifying shapes that build into recognizable forms and patterns: an arc, a wave, a column, a tower. The work’s ensuing narratives are the stories of its making, the choices involved in its creation, and the effects of the resulting relationships between materials, form and space.
Jebah Baum has a BFA from SUNY Purchase and an MFA from Cornell University. His work has been exhibited in the U.S., Sweden, Germany and France.
